28 April - Vast numbers of volunteers out delivering our latest piece of literature. It's a good, positive magazine.

27 April - Good public meeting at the West Park Centre tonight. Also wanted to show my commitment to the centre.

27 April - Hustings at Bodington Hall this afternoon. Excellent turn out and great to see students engaged.

26 April - Boris came to town today. He met with students from Leeds Uni (but we were not allowed on campus).

26 April - Otley hustings were interesting - a diverse audience. Demonstrated why it's a close marginal seat.

25 April - Loads of students helping out today.

25 April - Excellent hustings at St Chad's Parish Centre.

24 April - NHS action day at ASDA, Holt Park

24 April - Getting the fliers out for all our public meetings.

23 April - Teams out from Headingley to Yeadon canvassing

22 April - Met a maths teacher who uses Lib Dem charts as examples of misleading stats.

21 April - Grant Shapps in Headingley to discuss HMOs. Clarified our position. Was needed.

20 April - Andrew Lansley with Yeadon GPs today. Really useful meeting.

20 April - Up at Caring for Life painting their meat house today. Interview with YEP.

19 April - Michael Gove visits Kids Academy in Holt Park. Thanks for the hospitality.

18 April - Focus on canvassing this morning and delivery in the afternoon. Phew.

17 April - Out canvassing in Pool, Adel, Bramhope and Holt Park today

15 April - On live TV following leaders debate. A first for me and for them!

15 April - Bramhope blitz today. Good reaction.

14 April - Meeting about legal highs. We need a new 'category x' urgently.

13 April - All day canvassing today. Will need new boots.

12 April - Shadow Transport Secretary given the low down on Leeds buses in Yeadon today.

12 April - Early start on BBC breakfast TV today.

11 April - Disappointing to see our posters vandalised. No room for this sort of behaviour.

10 April - NHS Action Day in Otley market today. Was joined by Sayeeda Warsi a Question Time regular.

9 April - Chris Grayling in Otley and Bramhope today. He also met with Yeadon Neighbourhood Watch8 April - Delighted that Samantha Cameron chose to visit Caring for Life in Cookridge. She made a real impression on us all because of her empathy with the volunteers. It's a brilliant place, with brilliant people. Thanks Sam for your support.

7 April - Chris Grayling, Shadow Home Secretary joined us today - we handed out our crime booklet in Otley and then spent time talking with residents in Bramhope. Crime's a big issue.

7 April - Got a load of posters up today. It demonstrates who's battling it out in Leeds North West - Conservative and Lib Dems. It's vital to vote positively for change here.

6 April - We're off. Really looking forward to the campaign. Let's make it a positive and honest one. Great to see David Cameron in Leeds on Day 1.

5 April - Out and about today in force. We've a lot to do, and it's going to be really close run thing.

4 April - Family time out for Easter.

3 April - Today was spent talking to the voters of Otley and Yeadon. Great reaction and lots of issues cropping up. Especially crime and anti-social behaviour. 2 April - Out and about in Otley today. Met people considering tactical voting to keep Labour out. Stressed the need to vote positively for change here and that it's very different from 2005. We need our voters to stick with us, or risk five more years of Gordon Brown. Let's end the negativity!

31 March - Julia held a well-attended public meeting in Adel. Some familiar faces were there and lots of new ones too. Julia was honest and open with the audience, which they said they appreciated.

31 March - Julia attended a 'political speed dating' event in Headingley, all about education. Conservatives have particularly strong adult and community education policies, as well as FE. Julia shares people's great concern over HE funding.

30 March - people want to know what Julia would do if elected, so she's written personally to thousands of residents outlining her stand on a range of issues - from immigration to the environment.

27 March - Matt Baker and his team were out in force in Weetwood today, talking with residents of the Spennithornes, Wynfords and the Havens

27 March - following a call for help from Carole Charnley, Julia spent the morning making lunch for the Otley Handbell and Chime Orchestra's annual Yorkshire gathering. Really successful event. Carole does a fantastic job.

22 March - our campaign is really gaining momentum - loads of volunteers are coming forward to help. They know that it's different this time around and want to help change the government.21 March - Action day in Yeadon today. Lots of people really enthusiastic. Also had a very well attended fundraiser in Weetwood, after spending the morning talking to West Park residents.

19 March - Staff of Carlsberg in Leeds have contacted Julia to complain against the boycott suggested by our current MP. They claim it's endangering jobs.

18 March - The Numbers Count programme seems to be really effective in helping children with their maths. Julia visited Otley's All Saints Primary, met the Head, and attended a great Numbers Count lesson.

17 March - Julia volunteers her business skills to help establish an alcohol-free youth bar in Otley during a public meeting at Otley Civic Centre.

15 March - At visit to Yeadon Neighbourhood Watch meeting, Julia hears from local magistrates about how sentencing has changed and local police emphasise how many crimes can be prevented

11 March - students gather in Headingley to discuss their concerns over university fees and education cuts with Julia and Matt Baker, Leeds City Council candidate for Weetwood ward. 10 March - BBC's Len Tingle interviews Julia about her serious challenge to the Lib Dems in Leeds North West.

9 March - Julia highlights the need to rebuild our economy with a visit to a local high-tech business with shadow Culture Minister, Jeremy Hunt.

4 March - Local pensioners in Otley meet with Julia to discuss Conservative plans to reduce tax on their income.

28 February - At a public meeting in Otley, Julia pledges her support to OFFER and fair trade.

28 February - The BBC's Politics Show sits Julia on their couch to talk about how well her campaign is going.

27 February - We spend the day out and about in Pool, talking with local people. Speeding through the village is worrying many mums and dads.

25 February - Shadow Roads Minister, Robert Goodwill visits Bramhope to hear about local people's concerns about traffic and travel.

23 February - Leeds Chamber of Commerce invites Julia to a roundtable breakfast meeting to discuss the needs of local businesses.

22 February - Julia meets West Yorkshire Tourism chiefs to discuss how Otley can be better promoted.

18 February - Local Weetwood candidate, Matt Baker, meets local residents to discuss parking issues.

17 February - Julia meets with Leeds City Council Leader, Andrew Carter and gets firm support for the playing fields at the Leeds Girls High School site.

15 February - Bramhope, Otley, Adel and Arthington residents meet Cllr Clive Fox in Bramhope to discuss their needs.

14 February - Valentines day is spent talking with residents on Weetwood Lane and the surrounding area about parking and speeding problems.

11 February - Otley residents meet to raise concerns about the closure of the Civic Centre with Nigel Francis, the Leeds City Council candidate for Otley & Yeadon and Julia.

10 February - The evening is spent talking with Weetwood residents about their concerns - the economy is top of the list.

9 February - Local Conservatives gather in Otley to discuss how we can get out and about, talking to as many people as possible.

7 February - Out and about in Weetwood - this time Central Park.

5 February - Students at Ralph Thoresby inspire Julia with their innovation and enthusiasm during mock elections.

4 February - Local media gather in Leeds to meet Julia and her fellow candidates.

2 February - Julia meets a former director of a major teaching hospital to discuss community health priorities.

1 February - Julia launches a campaign for three new services at the Wharfedale hospital - maternity, extended pharmacy hours and state of the art scanners

16 December Julia has raised the issue of Tinshill Rec with Weetwood's Liberal Democrat councillors. The site is a disgrace and action needs to be taken now.

15 December During a meeting in Otley, Julia expressed her support for the work of Community Group SURE - SUstainable and REnewable Engery in Wharfedale. They have some very exciting plans and have Julia's full support. She is already helping them support a planning application for a community hydro scheme in Wharfedale.

12 December Conservatives set up stall at Otley's Victorian Fayre. Stall holders at the Fayre were hoping business would be brisk, but yet again the weather was not kind to Otley. This notwithstanding, spirits were high and fun was had.

12 December George Osbourne visits Headingley to meet staff from WYG, which employs over 300 people locally. Private sector business has declined substantially, and the recession is worse in the UK than in any other of WYG's international locations.

26 November Julia visits Leeds Bradford International Airport to hear about proposals to extend the terminal building and congratulates the airport on their plans, believing that the local jobs provided will be very important - not just once the new terminal building is built but also during the construction phase.

20 November Julia attends an event in Leeds with Leeds University Students to listen to their concerns. In particular, issues were raised about the current Leeds North West MP's non-existent voting record on gay rights and his backing of significantly reducing the abortion limit .

17 November Julia attends event with Weetwood and Adel residents at Headingley Golf Club to learn about Leeds' blue plaque scheme.

14 November Over 300 Yorkshire Conservatives gather in Harrogate to meet William Hague and to hear him support our efforts to bring change to Yorkshire by voting in Conservative MPs in Leeds North West, Pudsey and Harrogate.

14 November Theresa May and Julia attend a meeting with Forward Ladies in Leeds. Forward Ladies is a group of female business women. Julia spoke out about the difficulties working women have in juggling work and family. Serious concerns were raised about child care, maternity leave and the issues that occur when women also have to care for someone at home, as well as go out to work themselves.

5 November Julia meets with representatives of Marketing Leeds to volunteer her support and help. Julia runs a marketing business in Leeds.

2 November Julia and volunteers spend a day in Meanwood delivering literature and listening to the views of Meanwood residents.

28 October Julia meets LI NKs representatives - LINKs people are there to ensure that local health services provide the services local people want.

23 October Andrew Lansley supports Wharfedale Hosptial - during a tour of our hospital, Andrew praised staff on running an excellent local facility and expressed clear support for the Wharfedale saying that under the Conservatives small hospitals would be vital to providing excellent, local healthcare.

18 October - David Cameron visits Leeds again - and supports Yorkshire Enterprise Awards, praising local enterprise and manufacturing. He holds a public meeting in Rawdon, where Julia's father's family is from.

9 October - 'Cost of Living' survey launched across Leeds North West to find out how local people are feeling about the credit crunch and what concerns them the most. The results will be sent to Gordon Brown in the new year.

30 September - Julia speaks out for Leeds North West at Conservative Party Conference Fringe meeting about improvements required for local planning and housing.

29 September - Caroline Quinn interviews Julia for BBC's Radio 4's The World Tonight about Conservative plans for a new High Speed Rail link from Leeds to London, which she welcomes. "I've been pressing Theresa Villiers for some time now for this state-of-the-art high speed rail link. It's a long term project, but is great news for our economy and it will also help the environment by reducing domestic flights.

24 September - Julia helps students at Leeds University Freshers Fairs and is delighted with the response they receive, especially at Leeds Met, where Labour and the Lib Dems were nowhere to be seen.

19 September - Julia travels to Cambridge to talk about the role of women in politics - she believes it's important for more women to become MPs and local councillors.

14 September - Julia and local campaigners are disappointed that Otley's Transport Extravaganza is cancelled due to poor weather - a stall had been planned to raise money for the organiser's Hang on to a Dream charity.

4 September - Action day - over 15 volunteers join Julia and her team to deliver literature, with lunch at the Fox & Hounds in Horsforth.

31 August - Julia and Cllr Clive Fox raffle the last stamp sold at Bramhope Post Office, in aid of the Robert Craven Memorial Hall at Bramhope Show.

23 August - Julia and her team get out and about delivering surveys and leaflets in Yeadon.

17 August - Volunteers gather for summer lunch party in Weetwood and to raise funds for campaigning.

31 July - Julia volunteers to help start up businesses in Leeds with Enterprise Island

17 July - Julia arranges for local publicans to meet Shadow Culture Minister Jeremy Hunt at the Yeoman pub on Gay Lane in Otley. Publicans reveal their primary concern to be about declining business in Otley and believe our traditional pubs are under threat.

14 / 15 / 16 July - Julia and helpers from Otley conduct comprehensive survey of Otley's pubs. Survey reveals deep concerns about levels of business due to increased tax on beer, the smoking ban and the credit crunch.

10 July - Julia and Nigel Francis attend residents' meeting in Yeadon to discuss the establishment of a new resident's committee and improvements in housing

5 July - Julia joins Nigel Francis and his team to help out at Yeadon Carnival

1 July - Julia Mulligan and Shadow Housing Minister, Grant Shapps meet with Headingley residents to discuss the future development of former Leeds Girls High School. Both Julia and Grant supported residents demands for playing pitches to be retained for the community, and in particular, for use by local primary schools.

1 July - Julia Mulligan and Grant Shapps visit site of Cookridge Hospital to review development plans

1 July - Julia Mulligan and Grant Shapps visit St George's Crypt to discover more about plans to provide improved facilities at the centre for homeless people

21 June - Julia, Ken Creek and other Otley residents set up stall at Otley Carnival - despite the weather, which fails to dampen spirits and enthusiasm.

20 June - Julia and fellow Parliamentary Candidates Matt Lobley (Leeds North East) and Stuart Andrew (Pudsey) take their Save Our Post Offices petition of over 6,300 names to 10 Downing Street.

19 June - Thousands of people respond to Julia's leaflets and petitions about Post Office closures.

10 June - Otley Golf Club - local supporters gather to raise funds for local Conservatives - they are delighted at May's local election results, which saw the Conservatives winning here.

5 June - Julia meets with local pensioners to talk about provision of services and home aids.

21 May - Over 6,000 petitions and leaflets delivered to resident's homes in Otley, Bramhope and Far Headingley in response to the Government's plans to close three local post offices.

13 May - Three post offices in our area are on the Government's hit list for closure - Newall (Otley, Weston Lane), Bramhope and Far Headingley. Click here to join our petition on line.

9 May - Julia Mulligan meets Headingley residents to discuss retention of playing fields at former Leeds Girls High School site and BBQs on Hyde Park

9 May - Julia Mulligan meets Imam Asim and other community leaders at Makkah Mosque in Headingley

2 May - Local election results across Leeds North West put Conservatives ahead of Liberal Democrats. Labour vote stagnates, putting them out of the race. For the first time in a generation, Conservatives have the highest share of the vote across the whole of Leeds.

1 May - Residents of Headingley, Weetwood, Adel & Wharfedale and Otley & Yeadon turn out to support Conservatives at the expense of Liberal Democrats. Labour stands still.

29 April - Ken Creek, Council Candidate for Otley & Yeadon launches campaign to protect historic Otley bridge

23 April - Michael Horwood Conservative Candidate for Headingley speaks out at local election hustings

19 Apr – Local Conservatives take to the streets to talk to residents during a day of action in support of Council Candidate Ken Creek in Otley & Yeadon and Councillor Brian Jennings in Weetwood. Cllr Jennings joined the Conservatives having rejected the Lib Dems locally.

18 Apr – Yorkshire Evening Post highlights Conservative Campaign to save Far Headingley Post Office

17 Apr – William Hague joins rally to save Far Headingley Post Office from closure. William joined Councillor Brian Jennings and Julia Mulligan in their campaign to save the Post Office, which was launched in March after the current MP failed to act.

8 Apr – Residents of St Chad's and Orchard Courts in Weetwood had their say about the failing economy and pensions, during a visit by Shadow Minister, Philip Hammond, along with Councillor Brian Jennings and Julia Mulligan

27 Mar – William Hague launches Conservative local election campaign in Leeds

23 Mar – Conservatives launch campaign to save Cottage Road Post Office, which is earmarked for closure
