A good MP works hard for you locally and sticks up for you in Parliament. According to independent sources, the current MP for Leeds North West is below par on both.

According to independent website TheyWorkForYou.com, the current Liberal Democrat MP has a below average voting record, which means he's often not in Parliament, speaking out for you. He has also sat out controversial votes on for example, the smoking ban, transparent parliament and gay rights.

What's more, according to constituents surveyed by the same independent website, he has a low response rate in getting back to you.

So what's he doing if he's not in Parliament and is not responding to you? Well he's very good at getting his name in the papers. What's more, unlike local councillors, Liberal Democrat MPs can really only ever campaign as their party is unlikely to form a government and take responsibility for change.
